Default V70 2006 stainless steel exhaust

Hello

Has anybody fitted a stainless steel exhaust to their V70?

My 2006 2.5T is running it's original Volvo system but both the middle and rear back box mounting points have now rusted off.

I am thinking of fitting a stainless steel system (cat back) as the car is a 'keeper'.

Any particular makes that you would recommend - Jetex??

Any particular suppliers/fitters.

I am in Gloucestershire.

Thank you for any pointers.

Hi I have a 07 plate s60 2.5t and I fitted a ferrita stainless cat back exhaust to replace the original volvo one with had a hole in the back box. It ain't noisy and there is no droning at speed either.
You can get them from here - http://kalmar-union.com/parts/volvo-...v70_-exhausts/

A few years back I had a custom one made whilst I waited on my mondeo st at mij performance in Walsall for a lot less than I imagined it would cost... From memory it was around £300

Did a quick Google and found this http://www.infinity-exhausts.co.uk if they are anywhere near you as they do a similar thing it seems

Hope it helps :-)

+1 for the Ferrita stainless steel exhaust via Don (Kalmar Union).

See post number 3 in the following thread I started having asked much the same question as yourself. I am still happy with my purchase and no longer notice the slight boom below 1100RPM. With some carbon inside it the exhaust is now precious little different noise level wise to the standard exhaust when driving - but still with the nice muted burble to it. I have no qualms recommending it.

Default One question.....

Do you actually want a new system or is because the hangers have rusted off you want to put a better quality system on? If it's because the hangers have gone you can get Volvo bolt-on kits for probably £15-20 a piece and you'll save a lot of money. It's a common issue and easily fixable.

Thank you for the pointers on where to buy a system - I will investigate.

Nobby, yes the hangers have previously rusted off and I have already bypassed these with the 'clamp on' style hangers. To be honest the rest of the system and back box in particular are past there best.

thank you

Oops, you want a stainless number, my mistake.
