  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

Default I'm new around here - a little guidance please
Hey all,

I recently picked up my very first Volvo,

I got a 59 plate V50 D5, so far i'm pretty bloody happy with it, coming from a a sluggish tank of an Audi A4 estate to this is something quite special.

Anyway, just want to get some tips and advice on things I should look at/for with my new purchase, also any thing you guys recommend me doing to it to get started, everything is stock on it so it's a pretty blank canvas.

Any input would be appreciated.

You will perhaps get more responses if you post in the S40/V50/C30 forum. You will be among fellow enthusiasts for the model and will get useful advice. Welcome to the forum BTW
