Default anyone repaired a damp delaminated side wall?

As per the title, I had a damp problem a couple of years ago which I had thought I'd fixed by removing and reseating/sealing the awning rail, that has indeed sorted the high level damp problem but while away last week I notice the outer panel below the window is sprung and the inner is soft to the touch.

I'm suspecting it's a major strip down to see what sort of damage has been done and dry it out before trying any repairs.
This is going to be DIY, it's a 2004 van and professional repairs will quickly write the van off.

Anyone have any ideas apart from burn it.
I'm pretty handy with the woodworking tools so the making of new inner ply panels, piecing of frames etc should be no problem if needed but it's where to get the vinal covering from etc.
Van is a Bailey pagent vendee and am going to try bailey tomorrow for info, but all input appreciated.

Paul.

If you look on caravan or motorhome forums you will see loads of advice. It's a common problem and the bane of so many owners. ( of British caravans)

Yep.
You can buy the laminating adhesive, but I've also had good results with Low Expansion foam from Toolstation.
I used 3mm ply to replace the panelling I took down.
I think I have photos somewhere....I'll dig them out.

Not something I ever want to do again, though. Nightmare job.

Many thanks all.

Yes am well aware it's a job that's likely to grow, what diy job doesn't.

So far I have found a local agent prepared to supply the adhesives I need.
Bailey caravans have been as much use as a chocolate fire guard so far, refuse to give technical details on the phone and they will respond within 5 working days.
I have been told of a place I can possibly get the vinal wall covering from that is reasonably local so hopes there.

I am hoping to seal the outer seam immediately and then tackle the inner wall over the winter, as the van is stored under cover this is doable and it's heating system is hopefully going to keep things at least bearable if not comfortable.

Default update

For any whom are interested, I have sourced the correct vinal covered wall boards, Bailey corin e, from leasure + via a local agent. Leasure + only sell into the trade. Not cheap at £45 a board but next nearest supplier although £38 a board is 3.5 hours away in the West Midlands.

Got a de humidifier running in the van and the van is back in storage undercover in the barn, so hopefully drying before I try to reseal the exterior pannel.
