Wasn't there a chrome strip version still available on the late GLs?

The guy I talked to at BSG reckons they are very easy to fit, clips or not - but he's been at it for thirty years, and used to do all the local Volvo dealer stuff to boot.

Cheers,

Also lift all footwell carpets, front and rear, mine were wet through but the rubberised carpet underlay meant it didn't show on the carpets. Holes had appeared on both sides of the floorpan beneath the front seat rears so welding was done. The cause of the leaks was split/missing grommets to the firewall on the passenger side and a leak from around where the bonnet release mechanism which passes through the firewall on the drivers side. I still get a slight leak on the drivers side, possibly from a screen seep but I put a rolled rag in the floor channel and this soaks up any that gets through, I just have to keep an eye on it and live with it!

Good luck

Phil
