Summary
Can you give us a summary what you have checked and replaced so far? I do not think that anyone will read back all 30 pages of what has been said before. It might bring up some new ideas.

Also the hot air intake system on the air intake could be faulty but this usually just causes sluggishness when cold.

I Had a thought earlier James. You had to have a couple of plugs tightened up didn't you? THere are some hoses at the bulkhead end of the engine that are vacuum hoses for the heater/Air-con controls, it's possible one of those has been knocked/pulled out. Could be worth a look........

It means he got a 30-40kV jolt off the cap! Surprised his eyes didn't light up!
They're not cheap but will make a huge difference, i also thought you had already checked/changed them which is why i didn't mention them above. You'll be amazed at the difference it makes and you'll like the other, unseen/unfelt improvements too!

I'd replace the coil, the aforementioned symptoms are also that of an old coil breaking down under load/heat. You checked it earlier I know, but was that cold or when the fault was occurring. It's a 5 min job, easy access and cheap. It's the only bit of the ignition system not yet replaced, just a suggestion James, from personal experience over many years.
