Key FOB Re-Programming?
Hi,
I need to purchase a second FOB for my 2010 V70 as we only have one of the two left and it's only a matter of time before we are in a rush in the morning and can't leave because the one and only FOB has gone AWOL. What I'm trying to figure out is what work is required to get the FOB working with the vehicle. The dealership has suggested that there is a small fee involved to "purchase software" to get the key programmed to the vehicle + the cost of the FOB itself. If I have access to VIDA/DICE, can I do the programming myself? The FOB in question is part #30659637. It is the push/start type. On a related note, I don't think I'm going to bother with the additional $50 valet key...that's a pretty steep price for a key!
