Sim with AAOS cars
Hopefully picking up my new XC60 Ultimate Black Edition next week.
Couple of questions 1. Do the AAOS cars also come with the Vodafone 100GB sim? 2. If you download maps from AAOS does this count on your data on the sim?

AAOS cars dont have the Vodafone 100gb sim like the Sensus cars did, they just come with a subscription that runs for 3 years (included in the purchase price) that is as far as I can tell unlimited. This is due to the navigation system (Google maps) being a live download system (i.e. you always have the latest mapping and traffic conditions) and the infotainment system having the Over the Air (OTA) updates. As some of these can be quite big, im sure a 100gb sim wouldn't last too long.
It is also used for any other apps you have installed so things line Spotify stream without any additional data charge, that is until the subscription runs out at which point I believe you can pay to extend it with Volvo. Less than 2 years into mine so no idea what the charge will be but mine has worked pretty well so far, just the odd areas that the map has to operate in offline mode (no 4g or 5g available).

My car glitched once and came up with T mobile web page, they've not been in the UK for a decade, so guess its served by EE.

If you press the speak button on the steering wheel and say "SETTINGS" it brings up a hidden page showing which network it's actually on. Mine says it is EE.

I thought the free period is 4 years. Also I was given to understand that there is a SIM card but I am as yet to find it.

Interestingly, there is a SIM slot in the tab near the mirror.
But there is no sim in there, nor can I find it in the manuals. |
