Bi fuel problem
I've just bought a manual 2002 V70 bi fuel and my last car was an automatic bi fuel also 2002.
My automatic on a cold morning used to always switch over to gas after half a mile. My manual version is taking a mile to switch over. Is this to be expected? Is there anything that can be adjusted to prompt the car to switch over to lpg sooner as running on petrol unecessarally is pricey? |

The car needs to meet a minimum operating temperature to function properly on lpg. A mile is not an unreasonable distance I would not look at trying to get this altered.

When i was doing LPG conversions to volvos in the early 1980's they ran completely on LPG they would start and run on gas from cold with no problem , they had a "choke" button you pressed to help starting ... of course being a volvo ,warm water was soon circulating around the evaporator ..

Warm LPG
Greetings!
I wouldn't worry at all. In summer my V70 LPG (FF) is on gas within 200 yards, so global warming has it's up side, somewhat peculiarly. Swings and roundabouts! Bhowani 2005 V70 S LPG Auto |

My 245GLT is on a mixer ring system and runs on gas only. Newer engine management sytems are a lot fussier hence the development of gas injection sytems. Modern management systems are not very happy when cold if run on gas. Mike
