D24TIC - Best engine replacement

Is there a good engine to replace my existing D24TIC unit, or should I rebuild mine, its now done an lot of Kms, and really getting a bit tired.
Is there one that would perhaps have a better fuel consumption?
Is there a good place to find a good reconned TIC engine, and of course how much must I have to pay?

I think it will be quite hard to find one. Might be best to get your own one rebuilt should you happen to know someone that can do it properly. Pity you did not post a bit earlier a 107k car was scrapped a few weeks ago.
