It's a shame the bonnet is rusty, as that is an unusual item. If it does go to the scrap man, save the grille - that's a desirable item, and unique to that year. Someone is sure to want to buy it - it's the only "eggcrate" grille offered for 200s, and was seen on the touring cars...

cheers

James

Thanks James,
Good point; I'll deal with it.
In fact it was slightly damaged, at the rear, underneath. I did a very good repair which cannot be seen; one of the locating pegs got broken and I've replaced it with a s/s one.
Anybody want this one, or anything else? The wheels are worth doing and the spare is pristine.

would the grill be a direct fit for a 1993 estate? how much would you want for it?
cheers

I would doubt it. Send me or post a photo of yours and I'll make an educated assessment. Equally, I can send you a picture of mine but it's exactly as shown in James's picture above of the Touring race car.

I believe it does fit. You certainly see people having added them to late-model cars. How much adjustment (if any) is involved, I don't know. If the bar it mounts onto is flat, it's probably pretty straightforward.

cheers

James

Default 245 Grill.

Thanks James,
OK 240; if you like I'll take it off and send you a picture. As I said, I did a mod of the bottom fixing but it is totally invisible from the outside anyway.
Would you like me to send this to your personal email? PM me if so.
Regards,
Frank.
