Default Boot Open Warning

Hello

The boot warning message on the dash keeps coming up even though the boot is shut. The opens and closes as it should.

I've taken the switch out of the lid to look at it, and it appears to be ok, but I'm not 100% sure. I can't see how to remove it and put a new one in, I can't see the connector on the other end so to speak.

Any ideas how to get rid of this issue?

Thanks

Had this fault intermittently on my v70 last year when it was cold - seemed to solve itself when the weather warmed up

I've heard of similar problems when I had a BMW 5 series though - the loom was prone to damage on the boot hinge causing various messages to pop up. I'd have a check on this

It's quite intermittent, and can disappear during a journey - I'll continue to investigate...
