Default Peugeot and Alfa wheels

Has anybody fitted these? Any issues?

I believe they are the same offset, bore and PCD as V70,S60 etc

Compatible models are Alfa 166, and Peugeot 407, 605 and 607

And how quick will your insurance company say "not insured" when they find you've fitted Alfa or Pug wheels to your Volvo?

They may fit, but is the risk that they have the correct load rating really worth it?

Recently told my insurance company (Admiral) about changing wheels and tyres for winter set and was asked whether the ones going on were OEM or some other make. parently because they were OEM then there was no extra premium. If they hsad been anything else they would have wanted some extra premium.

Don't think it would be large but would definitelly be worth telling you insurance company even if they do fit.

Are you sure of that?

The only wheel data website I've not yet found to be inaccurate (it may just me a matter of time) is here:

http://www.wheelfitment.eu

It lists the Peugeots as having a different offset to S60/V70, and the Alfas as having different bore as well as different offset.

And don't forget to check the bolt shape as well, they must match the recess in the wheel and not all are the same.

But as others have said, even if you find wheels that are of suitable dimensions, you must notify your insurers. Otherwise you could be driving without insurance as they can claim you invalidated the contract by failing to notify them of a modification. An example excuse used by Insurers when loading the premium is that 'the modified wheels may make the car more attractive to thieves'. Lame yes, but it allows them to invalidate your insurance if you don't tell them.

Not many years ago I was involved in a major accident for which blame was 100% apportioned to the other driver. Thankfully his Insurers accepted full liability, so I had no loss of NCD and various other costs, like a decent loan car, also covered. I would have been devastated if his insurers had found a technicality to avoid paying up, hence I'm always keen to remind people to be squeaky clean with insurers....

Afraid I wouldn't be bolting some Frenchie wheels on to my swedish tank - they'd be prone to going on strike whenever I wanted them to do a bit of work. As for the Alfa wheels, won't they keep breaking down whenever it rains?

On a more serious note, if they fit, a set of Alfa cloverleaf wheels could look pretty smart on an S60?

The most important thing to consider is the fact that the 407 605 607 alloys are sh!te so you wouldn't want them any way and I recall use a much shallower offset around 15 rather than 43
But if you want to fit hideous wheels with the wrong offset then Ferrari wheels should be on your list lol
