Hi, Wishing all you 140/160 enthusiasts a very merry (not to much whilst driving) Christmas and all the best for the coming year. Who will be taking them out for a drive over the holiday? I will.

Am using my 164E almost daily still, for two reasons. My son is still using our shared VW Polo day-car cos its cheaper to run than his Transit van, and last winter I mothballed my 164 under drip-proof covers in a large unheated store, only to find masses of underbonnet condensation when I began getting it ready for use in spring.
I won't use it when the roads get salted, but currently it lives under a carport where the prevailing westerly winds can dry it out after use. When the roads get bad I'll just have to exist using my old-gits bus-pass.

the 164 is snug and warm in the garage, it'll be out if we have some decent weather.

I found an inverter and put some Christmas lights both inside and around the roof rack on the Yellow Peril (73 145E). No long trips planned but just around town.
