  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Just to add to that excellent point... even if the tyres are not directional, they may be asymmetric, meaning that the tread pattern on the inside edge differs from that on the outside edge. That is certainly the case with my Nokian WRG2s. Incorrect fitment in that respect could, I'd imagine, lead to handling defects.

Asymmetric tyres would normally have (and my Nokian WR G2s certainly do have) the word 'outside' embossed on the edge of the tyre that needs to face outwards all round.

Many (most?) winter tyres are built this way

You put them on randomly and you will wreck stability
