I removed the headlamp wipers as wanted a smoother front - just never got to fill all the holes... The Vectra is a mix & match of body kits, but yea, the front at least was a Mk1 Irmscher...

Well, had a busy day. Fitted my boot spoiler, my new front grille and decoked my exhaust tip. Remaining projects; find and fit a front splitter, fit the chrome door handles I have and spray up and fit my new eye-brows......have quite a few other plans, but they will come later (engine mods, 17's, tinted windows (maybe) and some chunky side skirts...
Anyway, here's the fruit of todays labours...... IMG_1192.JPG IMG_1193.JPG IMG_1194.JPG IMG_1195.JPG IMG_1196.JPG IMG_1197.JPG IMG_1198.JPG IMG_1199.JPG IMG_1200.JPG IMG_1201.JPG IMG_1202.JPG IMG_1203.JPG

The grille does look better with the Volvo badgo fitted, against what I said before. It looks nice without it, but just looks better with. I hope to get a rear spoiler for mine, this year, but it will have to be prepainted in my colour and have the 'sport lux' black trim. The tail pipe is so much easier to keep clean, once it has been polished like that. Look forward to seeing it with the splitter fitted, too. What type of 17" alloys are you planning on? Arcadias? Gary

Looking good. The aftermarket grill looks exactly like the Volvo one with the volvo badge added - was it easy to add the volvo badge?
I'm tempted to get a splitter for mine . . .

Gagging for the splitter now to complete the front end look.....or not, I may tinker a a bit more.... Yes the Arcadia's are nice - but I like the 18" Medusa's as well!!

Using the old badge is easy. Trim off all the tabs, clean well and apply liberal portions of rapid drying Araldite Steel. This stuff sets like concrete within 45 Mins - and did! The only concern I have about gluing on a grille is getting any dobs of glue off where you dont want it as its a bitch to clean off....but I was lucky.....apart from two small bits that you cant see... Yea, I am pleased with the end result which looks great and was a fraction of the Volvo grille....

I used a good helping of Auto Glym metal polish and serious elbow grease on mine. Also did the same on jwl366's tailpipe too. I would have been afraid of scratching with a wire brush. [\QUOTE]Yes the Arcadia's are nice - but I like the 18" Medusa's as well!![/QUOTE] I am pretty sure you will need to do a bit of arch rolling to get 18" alloys to fit and they will give the car a really harsh ride. I wouldn't go any further than 17", IMO, but hey, each to their own. I would still like to see how they work out and look, plus a report on the ride quality. Gary
