Info needed about 2.4 TDi
Looking for info on the TDi engines fitted to s70 v70-2000 and 850's.
On the petrol cars after 1999 the electrics changed quite a lot is that the same with the TDi or was it the same all through the years volvo used it? Would it be possible to put a remapped ecu (170bhp) from another car in to replace the cars origional? Is the exhaust system and fuel tank completely different from the petrol cars? And the climate control system different from the petrol version? I know the suspension is different on the front end but I'm guessing the engine mounts are in the same possitions? |

The V70Tdi 97-late 98 uses Bosch MSA15.7 (mechanical MAF) and can have codes read with volfcr on a laptop. Later models up to 2000 use Bosch MSA15.8 (electronic MAF) which needs VCT2000 or Dice or limited code reading with bsr ppc.
Can't comment on re-mapping. The exhaust is different and I would think the tank is. The ECC is the same AFAIK (i.e. still goes wrong....) I would think the engine mounts are different as the TDI is an Audi engine (modified by Volvo). |
