Hi, I've recently joined the forum and am going to wade right into this discussion
For mine, drum brakes are a pain to work on on any car specially on an Amazon without the puller! Tbh I just took it as a given that discs were more efficient than drums and this is why they are the default type on modern cars. |

Mitch, do you know if the car estate is still available. Tried to PM you but despite being a club member for years, I am not a frequent forum poster and so apparently I am blocked from sending you a PM. Perhaps you could PM me with the contact number for the seller if it is still available. Thanks. Barry

Thanks for your PM. Have talked to the chap with the Amazon estate and he is seeking to buy a PV544 before he can part with the estate. He's in no hurry and will keep me updated on progress with his search. Thanks again. Barry |

Just to let you know that the drum brake Amazon Estate that Amazonjulian mentioned is still for sale. I went and looked with a serious view to buy. It is a very charming car with a massive history file. But there is a list of jobs to do. In my mind, I guessed that if each job cost £100, you could easily spend £2,000 on it and his asking price was originally £4,500. Don't get me wrong, it's an extremely solid car with fantastic potential, but I can't get my head around it and my gut feeling has made me leave it. Getting something very, very different instead....
The seller has not advertised it yet, so let me know if you want his contact details
