Hi folks there is two types of icm don't ask me there names though but both are very dear for what they are?! If you can find a second hand unit ask the dealer to turn the most security off the you can just swap over the icm with the second hand part?! I recently asked the question to Volvo tech help desk about removing the icm and most system but was told it is not possible to do as it is intergrated in both most and the cars can system and is a feed module for the climate module and Srs modules hope this helps? By the way the software for turning the securirty off is £11 plus labour to download

i've just had a reply from my local dealer....about disabling the MOST security, but they're saying it cannot be done, so sounds like they planning to tie me into doing the work with them.... don't suppose you know the part number for the software to turn it off? "We’ve enquired with parts technical assistance, unfortunately disabling MOST security is something we’re not permitted to do by Volvo (unless we need to do it in order for a car to accept new software, in which case we have to turn it straight back on after). Sorry I can’t help but it is something we would be monitored on by Volvo." thanks in advance. StuT4 |

I have found that mine does this every 3-4months and a fix for mine is to turn the engine off, look under the seat and on the side near the door unplug the 2 black/grey plugs (amp plugs?). I then plug them back in and hey presto - all working again.
This was a tip from another post about the same issue. Anyone else want to try and let us know? Darren. Last edited by rowleyd3; Jan 31st, 2012 at 19:15. |
