V70: Stereo/SatNav/Phone - entering 7 digit postcodes

Does anyone know how to enter a 6 digit london postcode on a 2011 model v70 sat nav?

I have tried several times to enter NW1 1TR or NW5 2HS or N19 4QP

It just will not allow me to do so

Is it just London post codes that are the problem. I have a 2010 XC70 which takes my home seven digit post code okay, but I must admit the input system is not the most intuitive that I have used. I don't use it that often but I seem to recall that when you see Postcode highlighted it is in address mode, and will not accept post code inputs. I tend to use my Garmin 1490T if satnav is required as I can program it on the PC if there is a specific route I want to take, and the screen is clearer than the built in unit.
