as the bulbs are the same left + right, swap the bulbs left to right, see if the "dim" one moves side, if so go get a new bulb.

My first approach would be, clean up all the connections / plugs etc, make sure you have the correct wattage bulbs in all lights and look for damaged wiring whilst fiddling.

Default Me too!

I have the same issue, dim on right side only. The connector on my offside light looks melted too. Is yours the same? I can 'fix' the problem by fiddling with the headlight level adjuster and sometimes the light kicks in to full brightness as the light moves. Anyone else have a similar problem?

Cool

Although this sounds like a wiring or socket issue, I would check what happens when you put a brand new bulb in, because I had a rear light that was intermittent and the bulb was perfectly OK and the socket looked good so I tried a bulb swap and the problem remained, but as soon as I put a new bulb in it worked correctly. Chinese bulbs are sometimes a very slight mis-match to the bulb holder and two old holders are never identical.
