I said get "get near" - not achieve them!!! And wind resistance is built in to the rollers.
Having said that of all the eco 1.6 diesels with 99 - 109g/km, Volvo is by far the worst for actual consumption. My 3 Mk 4 Golf 1.9 TDIs over 14 years and 150k miles have averaged 55mpg, Combined figure is 57.6 mpg. |

But other manufacturers have to use the same criteria for producing their figures - and they do represent 'real world' figures for most of us. I agree that Volvo don't produce the Govt figures -but they use them heavily in their adverts...check out the 'how far can you go' section of the DRIVe website.

I am glad I am not the only one a tad disappointed by achieved mpg in a Volvo DRIVe S/S.
Putting all the if's, but's, maybe's and do this and don't do that to one side.......All I can say is that in all my years of driving and having owned lets say 30 cars..................I have never ever owned a car that returned mpg so far away from 'claimed' figures.
