Default V70 n/a awd?

Did Volvo do a V70 that was AWD with no turbo?
Just been to look at one - AWD was working (prop shaft spinning), but didn't pull very well at all, very sluggish even on full throttle.
Been offered it for 500. 100k miles, service history good until about 2 years ago, other than that sounds good.

Did you see the engine bay?

Do you know the reg number?

I am 99% sure that the lowest powered AWD was 193 bhp which was the 2435cc LPT often listed as a 2.4 or 2.5.

Also came in 2.3 T5 and 2.4 T5 which were 250 and 265 bhp respectively

I would agree with this statement, as I'm sure the 2.5/2.4lpt engine was only fitted to AWD/XC models.

I was almost certain of it too, always thought the 193bhp one was the lowest spec one they did.

Thinking back, the intake hose did go through the air filter and then towards the rear of the engine bay - if it did have a turbo (it probably did), it wasn't working. Gave it full beans and it didn't do more than growl lightly and accelerate slowly.

It comes up as a Volvo V70 AWD 2435cc.

You probably wont hear or even feel the turbo on a lpt compared to a hpt, it gives more the feeling of driving a car with a larger NA engine rather than a turbo car with lag and a sudden surge.
