just a update, i have just come back from croydon and the car has done 220 miles at 23.3 mpg on lpg not bad at 77.9 a litre. the other day i went up to nottingham to pick up a caravan. i covered 450 miles used about 113 litres of gas and returned 18 mpg not bad considering going up there mostly speeds in the region of 80 to 90 mph and towing a caravan back at 60mph. i am well impressed. with what has been happening with petrol over the last week it couldn't have happened at a better time, no queueing.

I take you have an auto going off the consumption. As you have the L jet fuel system I would normaly expect around 25MPG on mixed driving and a little better motorway only at a steady 70MPH.
Please do post up some photos so we can see the installation. |

when i left exeter after the conversion they said that my fuel consumption would be slightly higher than norm but would be able to that right after my 1000 mile first service so i'm not to worried but even so i am very happy with the results. yes it is an auto 2.3. but just think of all the time i save bye not having to wait in a line waiting to get petrol thats got to be worth a couple of mpg lol.

The consumption is about right for the auto I would say. LPG does use a little more fuel especialy in 240 engines.
The old B18/20 engines do well even when fitted with the basic mixer type system. |
