I have 2001 volvo s40 auto 2.0T does it needs upgrade the software for cruise control ??

No idea. I can confirm that the manual 1.6, 1.8. 2.0, 2.0T and T4, do not need software upgrades. I can also confirm that you definitely need programming for the 1.9D, but I don't know anything with regards to the Auto transmission cars or the GDI.

Have you tried calling a dealer and see what they have to say?

i have a 2.0T manual, and dealer said, that i need an upgrade, which cost here in lithuania 500 pounds

so if you can confirm, that manual 2.0t doesnt need programming, so i can start searching for the kit

GaryS40 fitted his on a 1.8 (not GDI) and didn't need any programming at all

I talk dealer for cruise control and dealer says my car cruise control kit no: 30618140 and this packet include upgrade and its price is 350$ in turkey
