They are an invaluable safety feature - leave them on, please.

Whilst we are on the subject of lights, has anyone tried LED sidelight bulbs and if so what type/number of LEDs?

As one of my sidelights has failed, presumably this particular curcuit does not have "canbus" as there is no warning.

Mike (Outnumbered) turned mine off . I dont see the need for them. And why add to having to change bulbs more often ?

That's my thinking. Having recently had to remove the bumper and the headlight to replace the spring clip that had come adrift, I'm really not keen on replacing dipped beam bulbs any more than I have to. Hopefully I can do it by feel next time but the lack of access is challenging. Ideally I'd like to get some brighter sidelight bulbs and run on sidelights - at least these are easier to replace.

I'd check with your insurance company just to be sure that modifying one of the manufacturers standard "safety features" does not invalidate your insurance.

John.

Made no difference to my insurance when I had them turned off and told them I'd done it. That's with LV Insurance.
