Default a hello and a question or 2!

hi,
my name is chris i'm 21 and i'm looking to get a 240 to take drifting and use as a daily driver, in plenty of comfort by the looks of the seats,i've got a few questions to ask if anyone would be nice enough to answer them.

are the 2L and 2.3L blocks the same?my plan is to preferably get a 2.3N/a and get a 740ti to swap bits ( or engine)

whats the differance between a normal 240 and a torslanda.

chris

Cool

Welcome to the fold, this isnt the best place to find out information on Drifting, the best place to find like minded people is on the Volvo 300 Mania website, the site is primarily a 300 series site but has people from all models of cars, I drift a 240 GLT estae and a volvo 360 GLT, the estate is more impressive but the 360 is easier to drift with.

No disrespect to this comunity but the 2oo and 300 thread here is more for maintanence and problem solving for these vehicles, but of which you will find really usefull, I know I have! But the tuning section doesnt really cater for the older models like the ones you and I like.

Check out http://www.volvo300mania.com/forum-uk/ you will find alot about engine swaps, turbo'ing, drifting and tuning for the 300 and 200 series, and a few other makes.

Regards Andi K

A picture of my motor may have been on there at some point, the best car to go for would be the glt as it comes with the superior suspension, thicker roll bars and stiffer springs etc, it also looks great with tinted windows, it's a great 'Q' car, no one expects it to get sideways, I find it great to drift and great fun!
