Default Cat bypass pipe

Hi where do I get a cat Bypass pipe from ? It was suggested that I should be able to ask any exhaust fitting company (have you ever asked anything in norwich)

I've asked 6 today and they all go "uh what? bypass pipe never heard of it"

Or would it be easier to decat the exhaust then fit the standard non cat estate exhaust?

not sure how its set up on your 760 but on my 850 the cat is connected directly to part of downpipe so couldn't just be replaced with a bolt on de-cat pipe like Saxo's etc, Powerflow had to cut the cat out & weld a normal piece of pipe in

I think but am not 100% sure the cats are flanged at both ends so it would just be a matter of getting a pipe made up with the same 2 flanges on, either that or just cut the hole lot off and put a straight piece of pipe in,

Its a 1990 car anyway so it doesn't need a cat for MOT i don't think, think 1992 was the point where it needed a cat for MOT

You can buy lengths of pipe and clamps etc in various sizes on

http://www.needforspeed.co.uk/pages/...Jetex&User=NFS

Click on the size of universal you want, they are cheaper than buying from jetex themselves...

1993 is the cut off for cats...but a few 1994 cars i know of have not required the cat test..due to reclasifycation, so ask your mot station to run your number plate...you never know...
