Default 1998 T4 Wheel Alignment Question?

looking through VADIS, it states my 1998 T4 wheel alignment should be set up as a 4 Wheel Drive? any ideas why, don't want to make a **** of myself when i tell the fitter to set it up as that, thanks

You are reading it wrong...

It doesn`t say "set up as" it says use "4 wheel drive alignment equipment"!!
which is not the same thing.

If you only want the front tracking and camber etc. checked or set then it doesn`t matter what is used but if you want the whole setup of rear and front suspension lineup checked or done then you have to use the 4x4 equipment.

The S/V40 has toe in and camber angles just like a 4x4 for the rear suspension so there is your answer.

tnx 960kg, it's wearing the front 2 on the inside slightly, gt a track rod end for mot so it may be fine but i'd rather check it wen i put replacements on the front, tnx again
