Suspension: strut phase 2 ?

hi all,car running great still(thanks all).....can anyone tell me if this strut(ebay item no 110917688025) would fit my volvo v40 1.9 tds 2003 passenger side...or has anyone got a genuine one for sale....the rubber on mine has split.....and is it much of a job to change...thanks

I wouldnt bother with it mate it might fit but its not worth the risk and all the hassle of sending it back try eurocarparts but im sure volvo is abit cheaper than eurocarparts. as for changing it, it is easy as long as you got the spring compressor its a easy job. These mounts are the same as a mitsubishi carisma 1.9 did 2002 - 2004.

That looks like it is for the early model. I took a few pics of mine here http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=146626.

The part you need is 30652259 which is the insulator, got one from Ray Chapman in malton for £47.30, RUFE would be a bit cheaper though.

Tools wise, you will need spring compressors and probably access to a impact wrench to undo the top nut. I bought one for the job which you would be welcome to borrow.

hi phil,sorry for the late reply....thats good..i happen to have some spring compressors and an impact wrench(car boot)i knew that impact wrench would come in handy sometime...thanks for the part number.i will give rufe a ring...ps thanks for the link to the pictures....
