Default squeaky brakes

i think its the drivers side rear brake, i think. ive been informed that they are fairly new pads on the back, so its not them. and it doent always do it, it depends on weather and time of day and such.

does anyone know how to cure it?or what could be doing it?

its a 440 2.0 glt with discs all round, late 1994 model

contaminates on the pads could be the problem anything can contaminate the pads such as car washes, diesel off the road, oil brake glaze if you've hit them too hard. check to see if the diff is leaking grease or oil on it.

Is it the same side as your petrol filler ? (sounds wierd I know though you could be getting a small fuel leak from the filler or breather neck

in an extreme situation you could remove the pads and sand off the top layer to remove a possible contaminate also replace the anti squeel pads

That A14 seems to make my pads squeel after a while coming back from uni wonder if the trucks or the river is throwing something

Some makes of pad are more noisey than others, you could always fit a different set of pads. Ferodo pads are often quite quiet.
