Default Oxy sensor

Hi,

I've just replaced the front Lambda sensor in my '99' V70 and was wondering if I need an OBDII tool to reset the light. I have disconnected the battery in the hope that will reset things?? Is this correct? if so, how long does the battery need to be disconnected for?

Thanks
