Killing off the RR which was a fine respectable vehicle before hand. Let the sport (and that fecking ugly Evoque) go to the Beckham brigade if you must, but leave the proper RR as exactly what it should be, something which is just as happy doing 100mph across a field as it is doing it on the M-Way

Nice, I've always liked Range Rovers (and owned a few too), I even like the P38 which looked like a Metro Cab on steroids and was named after a pot of body filler!
Problem is I use cars exclusively on tarmac, so a Range Rover just isn't practical, in fact having just completed a 240 mile journey in a Smart Roadster, I am currently seriously considering downsizing. Anyone want to but an old S60?

You can keep your Range Rovers, which have now drifted so far from their original design brief... I'll get one of these when I work out how... only need to own it for 6 months before you import it into the UK....
Quite fancy it in GXL Spec with Diff Locks as standard; given that even the basic model comes with a bluetooth stereo as standard, it's a steal at AU$67k (about GB£45k), given Toyota reliability and the fact that it'll go anywhere in the world and what parts that are needed you can get... there's a reason why they're popular in Australia, Africa and Asia!

I live just up the road from Gaydon s L/R's are seen a lot by me. I quite like the Evoque and Disco 4. I used to run Land Rovers all the time once and would have another quite happily.

80 grand is an expensive way to say I'm fat and couldn't give a **** about the environment!
Real class buys a roller or Bentley (a proper one not the footballer edition). Big saloon and a Defender for mud plugging would be much better if you're into cars - for those who aren't... it'll be one of these! Last edited by t5_monkey; Aug 17th, 2012 at 10:24. |
