I don't think it's that easy,it's forcing in more air(cooler)and needs more fuel.
I don't know if it can learn itself to do that.

Oh and Bruce, you can also buy these kits(more expensive though)

This is one from IPD.

Cheers,walter

For any one who is interested, all you need is 24" x 54mm aluminium tube and ...well thats it, all the rest of the original pipework can be modified to fit.
The performance difference is definately noticeable especially in the midrange.
just finished this evening so only managed to get one pic, i will post some more and some details how to fit tomorrow.

Regards all

I really like the black splitter on your front bumper. Where did you get it from and how much was it?

It works by feeding the air from the bottom of the intercooler, which is colder for two reasons, one heat rises and two the bottom of the IC gets constant cold air through the bumper. Colder air is denser, therefore there is more of it present. The computer can sense minor changes such as this and can compensate up to a point which is why it'll be a little better. That combined with the shorter piping giving less lag. It'll feel "on the power" more.

I also had 5.0 Mustang injectors fitted Freds maps are extended to allow for a much wider range of rpm/load/fuel flow, and the ECU can adapt to use these maps fully. Its quite a sophisticated set up really.

Hi, thanks for the manual. I did it the RIP today and it turned out nice! Then it was time to start the engine, but nothing happened! The starter turned normally, but now answer from the engine at all... I triple checked all connections and everything is tight, even the throttle body pipe. Has this happened to anybody after the RIP-job? Or is it just bad luck and something is wrong with the electrics? I already checked the MAF and the connections to the relais on top of the intercooler and they are ok.

I would appreciate any response to this problem.

I forgot to mention the car: 850 T5 1995
