Default are bits available

Mine on 190 000 also rattling brake pump can youb get these still.Original injectors etc. think turbo maybe showing signs of wear as oil gets in inlet ducting.would like to clean out intercooler.Just had clutch fitted, due for new cam and pump belts.Independant volvo garage in attleborough norfolk will do belts.Any ideas of cost?Unfortunate parts are drying up for these cars and may write off many from economic repair.

Default 940 td auto 1995

hi
get the belts and tensioners pulleys from volvo .
get the mann oil filters from g.s.f. you might get the idler and tensioner from them too but make sure they are the exact same as volvo my mates were so they would be cheaper from g.s.f
some parts are getting rare but keep the 940 tdi going as long as you can

Ebay is a winner when it comes to parts too, so don't rule it out.

I love my d24 so much I shoe-horned it into a 960!!

I recently bought all the belts and pulleys quite easily off ebay.

Default 960 diesel

You probably saw on ebay 960 diesel conversion which sold for about £1100 or so from memory on the other week.Think valve stem oil seals gone on mine would love to know if available and if you can do without removing cylinder head.

Peter, have a look on d24t.com.

Very useful site with a forum too, a bit quiet though.

I saw the one on ebay, pretty poor conversion really, none of the toys worked (a/c, cruise etc) even the rev counter!

My rev counter works, but that's about all so far!!

Just about to buy an engine from a breaker which I hope to recondition myself...

Hopefully I'll be good for another half million miles!!

will be keeping car as long as possible as newer v70 which i have owned are too complicated.i was told by volvo main agent my v70 had 17 different computers for all its toys.cambelt went so £7000 for new engine from sweden hence got 940 for £3500 about seven years ago off dealer.
