Default Ambient lighting

Does anyone know if it is possible to make the ambient lighting LEDs in the front and back courtesy light mouldings any brighter? On my 2012 V70 they are so dim it is hardly worth bothering with them!
The front I can live with as the Sensus screen gives enough ambient light, but it would be nice to have a brighter led in the back of the car.
Can you put in a brighter led?

The ambient lighting in my S80 is controlled by the rheostat for the main dashboard lighting near to the main headlight switch - as you increase the lighting for the dashboard the ambient lighting increases at the same rate.

You Have interior lights for the purpose you require, just switch one on .. Ambience lighting is meant to be a dim glow just to pick out the outlines in the dark , it isnt very often you get to drive in pitch dark these days !

But that's the point- it doesn't pick out outlines. The light in the back is so dim that you can only tell that it is on when you put you finger under it!

My rheostat is usually turned up full. That also dims the footwell lighting, but doesn't help in the back.
