Default Cool Heater

This is my third in the S80 / V70 series and all suffer from poor heating. We regularly do long runs either up to Scotland or down to London and my partner complains that there must be some vent open as ther is a constant draft and that the heater gives poor output for the type of car. This is in direct contrast to her Jag which would bake you doing the same journey and to my own experience in 240's of years ago
Anybody got any tricks to improve the output ?

Thermostat stuck open can cause the heater air temp to drop especially in winter when on the motorway when the engine is overcooled due to ram air going through the rad - Mike
