Wipers Squeaking fixed

Just fixed squeaking window wiper with small file.Have tried different methods but none worked and endured noise for months.Found this answer on different volvo forum.pull wiper off the window and you will see two black studs at top of springs,i just filed them slightly and squeak has gone.Thank God, hope this helps someone else.

Mines started to squeak a little I sprayed wd on to the nut/motor arm area and has been ok since but if it comes back will give this a try
