Default i love my xc70

i had to drive from swansea to liverpool last night and got caught in the snow in north wales around oswestry. the traffic was at a standstill on the a483 by chirk so i had to backtrack and head for whitchurch and chester. other cars were sliding all over the place but even though i still got summer tyres fitted the coped no problem with 6-7 inches of snow on some of the roads. it normally takes about 4 hours to do this drive but last night i took over 8 1/2 hours

xc 70s rule

You're driving a bit close in the first picture and trust a passenger was taking the pictures! My V70 with winter tyres drove great n the snow and stops well too - they make a big difference.

both pics were taken when the car was stopped due to other traffic. with these tyres on it tends to slide easily if i touch the brakes so there was no way i would drive that close to a car in front

What Model Year XC70 do you have (MkII or MkIII) and which tyres are fitted to it.

Cheers

Sorry if slightly off-thread - was stuck in 6 miles of crawling traffic last night in my V70 as road ahead blocked due to snow/road muppets...but aren't Volvo seats unbelievably comfy?! Unfortunately tried to break the monotony when not moving by carnival-riding all over the place on the electric seat...much to the amusement of the people in the car behind me. Sad but made them laugh

Very nice. Must say I miss my old V70 AWD when the weather turns bad although having said that, the V50's been coping quite well with it's winter boots fitted.
