Anyone got a new V40?

Further to my post re having had a V40 since October I did a round trip of about 230 miles over Fri/Sat using the M5/M54/A5 and then back A5/A442/A449/M5.
Traffic on the M5 was busy Friday so a bit slower but this gave me 70.5mpg while coming back it went down to 65.5.
Pretty pleased with that given the 'official' figures.

I am 6' 1" and the memory seats are a blessing and in my case I have no problem with adequate space above my head.

I am 5 Ft 8, but short in leg, long in back. Even without the sunroof ( I hate panoramic roofs anyway ) I am far too close to the roof, particularly the area above the drivers door where the curtain airbag lives. I have confirmed the seat is on its lowest position, reclining the backrest further is not an option.

Shame I feel I cannot buy one purely because of this.

Strange what you both say, as I agree and have similar issues with certain cars. In an Evoque I feel about 6ft 10 my head is so close to the roof!! My cousin had a TR7, and that was fine! In the 60's I find the seatbelt cuts into my throat, irrespective of how I have the seat position. I have kind of realised its possibly the way I sit - When I am seated I find my head is quite far to the right of the headrest, so I may be sitting at a funny angle, kind of leaning towards the right. The seatbelts are not adjustable,although what attracts me to a V40 is that they are. I have no issues in other cars I have driven though.
