Default volvo 850 t5 rica remap 304

Hi everyone

Im new on here but just wanted to get some feedback back if possible.
Basically I have a 850 t5 estate auto I have taken it to my local volvo specialist were they have sent the ecu to rica to get it remaped.
I was wondering if its going to be worth it and what to expect of is it going to be a waste of time and money?
Thanks

The car would also benefit from a good aftermarket cat-back exhaust, to help it breathe a bit better.

You should see a good increase in power and also a decent hike in mid range torque, I have no idea why they call it the 304 but it won't produce power like that, probably 250bhp, that sort of region, depending on the condition of the engine. Sure it'll be worth it, but also make sure the car is in a good state of service, no point chasing power and asking more of the car if it hasn't been looked after.

Cheers for the reply

She is a high mileage at 178500 but has had full main dealer history up to 178200 miles
Rica state it will make the car produce 304 bhp and 400nm of torque but like you say I will probably npt get anywere near that.
Just hope its noticeable enought to warant it.
I think im going to get a turbo back power flow system I was thinking 2.5"

That would complement it nicely, fit the exhaust first if possible. The 15G turbo will run about 300/310bhp max but requires a high state of tune to achieve this, ported head, inlet, throttle bodies, full exhaust with sports cat or decat, new intake pipe and exhaust manifold amongst other things.

A full exhaust system and remap is certainly worth the money,
