I am sorry, I cannot help but say something.......
but what kind of crap English is that title????!!?? 'Fastest\powerfulest volvo's in the UK??' Why don't you do just type it wrong properly and put: 'The most fasterer\most powerfulest volvo's in the UK??' Maybe better would be: 'Does anyone know who has the fastest\most powerful Volvos in the UK??' Bobcat, no offence intended (honestly!!) but it grates me to the bone when grammar that bad is posted up. Dan. P.S. while I am at it, the word is lairy, not lary. |

On the subject of the thread, if I have interpreted it correctly, then I guess my C70 HAD to be one of the most fasterist.
Sorry, couldn't help it! |

I worded it that way to keep it short and so that the main words would be present in the latest replies section.
I thought my wording and phrasing was fine, however added the \ as unfortunately people like you would argue each word against the other.

What are you talking about? What has the slash got to do with it? Simply put, there is no such word as 'powerfulest'! Please don't turn this into something it is not; I am only voicing that I wish correct grammar was/is used. Nothing more. Never mind. Oh, and at the risk of sounding argumentative; Who exactly are 'people like me' in your eyes? |

Thread derailed on the first reply! Nice!
Surely that majorly off topic subject of poor grammar, should have gone to PM? Anyways, to get the thread back on topic.. My 960 24v is the current most powerful and fastest Volvo in UK. With 204 hp, and so far a VMax of an indicated 124 MPH on my GPS Well, until someone posts to say different! Flame away oh Power and Speed Gurus.

What a crap start to the thread - Dan F go and bug the Mercedes forums
I would say, start by asking Stuart at SW Autos to build an engine like his, but also include the stuff he would have done ? Next in line is Alastair P ? Who has got a serious engine coming up ? OR you could put an engine into your boot Chris

I would do mate, but there just isn't the 'atmosphere' you get here.... Anyway, bad grammar is bad grammar. Simple as that. The title of this thread is a glaringly good example of bad grammar. Sorry, but you cannot deny it. If nothing is said, no one ever learns. Bad English is bad English. I love my language and hate to see it used in that way. What is wrong with that? Anyway, sorry for taking the thread off course by saying it. But that is how it is. Quote:

Hi Matt,
In the UK at least, I haven't heard anything that beats stu's hp thats based on an 850 platform, if you want to really go to town there are a couple of examples on VolvoSpeed where people have gone what can only be discribed as insane with them, mostly people based in Sweden and the Scandanavian countries. Do you want it to still be road legal? Will it be a daily driver?
