P1 or P2

Could someone please tell me if the 2000 (X) V40 2ltr Estate is Phase one or Phase two (looking at replacing a broken front fog light).

Could be either - mine is a 2000 W and is definately a P1 but 2000 was the changeover year

Best bet is post a picture of the car and then someone will know for definite

As Caprirob suggests, a picture would make it easy.

However - does the strip in the front bumper go right across or is it in two parts, stopping just after the inner ends of the headlights? Inside, are the electric window master switches and mirror switches in the centre or in the driver's door? Does the centre console run back flat behind the handbrake to a couple of cupholders, or run up to a lidded box/armrest?

If the first of each option, it's a Ph 1, if the second it's a Ph 2.

You are quite likely to be a "Ph1.5", but for the purposes of front fog lights (and all bodywork, as far as I know) there is no difference between that and a Ph 2.
