Default Brake bleeding!

Hello!

So my well looked after 2008 V50 R-design is coming up for its 5 year service and I will be doing it myself in my friends garage! (get the stamp and i can trust the work has been done) As part of this service I want to bleed the brakes, now I have a vacuum bleeder so it wont be the old pump the pedal method but I was looking for a little advice on three things:

Best brake fluid to use i.e. manufacturer ect?
Are there any brake systems (knowing how everything on the v50 is computer controlled) that will throw a fault from simple bleeding?
Approximate brake fluid capacity?

Also any other little tips or tricks may also be usefull, thanks!

I did mine in Feb and used Comma ESP. Think the total replacement is 0.8L so a litre did the trick. I removed the excess in the cylinder and started RNS - ROS - FNS - FOS. Don't think there's any specific bleeding order. I had no warning lights or issues at all. Good luck

Andy.

i did mine when i changed the calipers at the front with a vacum bleeder kit thing and it worked fine with no probs or codes after the job. you should not have any probs using the bleeder just check the nipple attaches correctly.

i used the rbf 600 stuff just cos it was recommended by someone. apx a bottle used but i did have some extra bleeding to do.

okay so next question, whats the difference between dot4 and dot4+ I have "Brake engineering" dot4 that exceeds the requirements and is suitable for ABS systems:

Dot3: U.S. FMVSS No.116

Dot4: SAE J1703, SAE J1704, ISO 4925

The manual states Dot4+, Ive never seen nor heard of it?

Im a gentle driver so I don't need racing fluid, but I like to use good stuff (I'm training as an aircraft engineer so quality means alot!)
