These facelift 760s are not as attractive (IMO) as the original cars, and saloons less so (I'm talking attractive with regard to buyers). The facelift 760 was the model that Volvo used to take the product upmarket with the 960. I think you'd struggle to get much more than £750 if the car was mint with low ownership (2 or 3), low miles (sub 50K) and a rock solid provenance. A person looking for a value for money classic can't go far wrong with an original 744 - these will be the cars to watch out for in a few year's time - if you fancy one buy now. The OPs car looks like it needs at least his asking price spending on it - tyres, cambelt...etc. Sorry but I think I'm being realistic. Good luck regardless. Prufrock. |

I think the pre-facelift models are more attractive from a looks aspect as well with their "squashed Lagonda" type styling. The rounded off 940/60 look worked well on the 940/60 cars but looked out of place on the 740/60.
From a buyers point of view, i would think the older ones would be more desirable in as much as they are the shape most people know for the 700 range and more easily identified as such.

No luck Lixah?
Keep at it, ultimately it only needs one buyer. Get it through its MOT as that will carry weight with selling the car. If you need a temporary exhaust for it, i'll take the one off my 940 if it fits!

The sad bit is a lot of buyers won´t see it as an investment but just ¨another car¨ and as such an MoT will make all the difference.
