Default V50 cargo net thingy

Folks

I just took delivery of a 08 plate V50 and really pleased with it.
Question though . . .I wish to take out the cargo net "holder" on the rear of the rear seats.
The volvo website pages suggest it comes off "easily" but im buggered if I know how.

Can anyone help at all please ??

Thanks in advance

It looks the same as in my 05 v50, it slides on to two mounting brackets from the passenger side so to take it off I pull the rear seats forward then pull it out of the rear passenger door.

Lay seats flat, open both rear passenger doors, give it a thump from passenger side rear door and you will find it will come loose.

I say to open both rear passenger doors to allow room once you've gave it a thump and it comes free to allow room for it to move and not damage your door card.

It should come off relatively easy but there a few that have found it on very tight. It just slides on them metal clip/holders you can see.

HTH,

Actually, I just tried the above method and it appears solid.

Its either VERY tight . . . .or are there any "catches" that need to be pressed etc ??

Thanks again

No catches as such. They just lock into position on them metal sliders.

A good hard thump should get it moving.

Rubber mallet will do the job and avoid any damage! But definitely open both doors to avoid it flying into your door card!

Okay I've had mine out again today and notice in my earlier post to knock it off from the passenger side rear door. You need to knock it from the driver side rear door to then be extracted out of the passenger side rear door.

So if you were looking at the back of the car the net comes off the back seats from right to left!
