Service Issues: - "Hats off to Doves Volvo Preston!" Replaced condenser FOC

Hi Guys, Just wanted to put a big thank you out there to Clare Duckworth at Doves Volvo Preston. When I put my C30 1.6 R-Design 2009 for a service a couple of weeks ago I got the bad news that my Air Con had failed due to a leak on the condenser and I was facing a bill of not much short of £800.

However, I did bit of digging on the web and came across an article in the Telegraph penned by Honest John re.problems encountered by C30 owners due to the location and size of the air vent at the front of the car. The article pointed out that Volvo were aware of the problem and had extended the manufacturer's warranty.

This is were Clare Duckworth enters the equation, I got back to Doves spoke to Clare and she promised to look into the matter for me. A day later I got the bad news that my car was no longer eligible having just passed the four year cut off date by two months! The good news, Clare some how managed to wangle a fully funded replacement and for that I'm eternally grateful.

My apologies for such a long winded and boring post but it's so rare to receive such excellent service. Thanks again Clare, of Doves Volvo Preston!

ps. This only applies to corrosion if failure is caused by a stone chip you're pretty much on your own.

I also recently had doves do my 108k service and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
They really are trying to live up to the Volvo service promise and the staff are exceptionally attentive.
It won't always be convenient for me to use them but night and day to my local dealer.
