740 TD engine number location

Could anyone tell me where I can find the engine number on the above?

According to Page 8:2 of the owners manual, the number is on the upper part of engine block on LH side of engine. It shows an 8 digit number in the picture . Maybe someone with a diesel can be more specific.

The engine type numbers (VW & Volvo) are stamped on the left side of the engine block, beneath the vacuum pump. They are in two lines; the top one after the VW insignia is a short type designation followed by the serial number; the lower (and shorter) number is the Volvo type designation.
