Insuring a 17 year old on a 480
I remember having a conversation with someone who had a quote for their 17 year old daughter on a 480 which was around £1000 per year.
If they frequent the forum - is there any chance they could let me know the company/broker? Many thanks Chris |

Insurance
Have you not tried Chris Knott Insurance yet who do the VOC scheme ?
I'm sceptical of most group schemes / discounts, but after all the quotes ended up with a deal that at least matched the best ? No no-claims build-up with this sort of policy though. |

Don't forget, in the past Ladies used to get insurance cheaper.
2 and a bit years ago when I was 18 it cost £1600 to insure my 480 with one years no claim and a clean license. This was with Elephant.

I used Performance Direct and managed to get a classic insurance policy. It was limited mileage and won't build up no claims, but it was only 300 pounds a year. Car was (is) a 480 turbo. Maybe worth a look to see what is the lower age limit for classic policies...?
