Default Immobiliser has immobilized me!

Hi. Does anyone know if, or how, you can disable the factory fitted Immobiliser on a 1998 S40? I've got an intermittent starting problem, and it's driving me nuts.
Thanks

Wouldn't be the best idea to post such info on a public forum.

Possible faults for this would be either the immobiliser ring on the steering column or a corroded earth wire somewhere on the starter motor or the main loom under the radiator

Yes the immobiliser needs 2 feeds , a constant 12v and an ignition 12v , a broken wire under the radiator will loose one of those ...
