Default 1966 Amazon 4 door Rolling shell - Reading

On behalf of a friend of a friend I'm helping find a good home for a 1966 4 door Amazon rolling shell either for parts or putting back on the road. The car is to be sold complete, the current owner does not want to dismantle it further.
The car is located in Reading Berkshire, the last advertised price is £450.
If interested please call the owner, Scot on 07788 455385

I know no more about the Amazon other than what is written in his advert on this expired eBay page which includes more photographs.

I actually contacted the seller about this rat rod donar car.
I didn't get any info I asked for but he said give us a ring and we can chat about it.Seemed a nice enough guy by his email though. It was to be fitted with a V8 prior to him getting the car,So the center bulkhead has been removed but still in the car.
It looks from the pictures to be fairly solid.

I really wanted this as a long term project to put a 240 engine in but the powers that be said a great big NO,,,,

The wife is right of coarse I don't have the correct facilities and with three cars to keep going which some need work doing I probably would never get to do it.

I actually said it's solid enough looking to restore but rough enough to chop about without thinking your destroying a really nice car.

I still really want it but can't see her changing her mind.
I meant to contact Scott but never got round to it.Sorry mate.

And would you believe I'm working in Basingstoke so not far away.

Looks like a few sleepless nights for me until it gets sold.

I want ..I want..BooHoo.
Regards Brian.

I feel your torment Brian!
Some of the chrome and panels look better than on my car from the photos, unfortunately the banger racers are prepared to offer Scot what he wants for it but he really wants it to have a chance of being of use to Volvo enthusiasts before letting them take it away, but, he needs the driveway space very soon. There's a chance he may be talked into assisting with delivery, I think he has a car trailer.
I'm in touch with him on Facebook so will try to get contact details for the banger racer he sells it to if it goes that route so that some chrome/trim at least can possibly be saved.
